What a great start to the 2011 Chess Season!

Seven players from Meadowthorpe participated in the KSCC Chess Tournament on October 22, 2011 in Louisville.

 
K3:  Ezekiel Brown finished with 3 points
 
K5:  Taylor Edwards, John Adkins, Ashwin Kamineni, William Ding (4th Place Overall), Erik Han (8th Place Overall), and Ya'el Brown (2nd Place U500). 
 
The K5 Team tied for 1st Place, but got the 2nd Place Team trophy based on tiebreaks.

Congratulations to Ms. Waters! At the Kentucky State Individual Championship in Bowling Green she won a VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR award!! Thanks for all you do, Ms. Waters!
