Ceremonies and Beliefs

The Eskimo children told stories by doing dances.  This was a tradition to celebrate.  They danced to the beat of a big flat drum.  Sometimes Eskimo children wore wooden masks.  One of the Eskimo favorite dances is called the ghost dance.

The Eskimo loved games and sports. Boys like to do violent stuff ( not including the guns and other things). Girls like to do energetic games.  The most exciting game is called skin toss.  Eskimo's play this game by having a lot of people holding walrus skin.  Then, a player bounces higher and higher.  Whoever jumps the highest wins.

Eskimo's are very good artists.  They carve ivory things.  The artists also use wood and stone.  One of things that they carve are headbands.  They carve them for children.  So, more and more people visit the artists.
