LIVING OFF the LAND

          Living off the land was very important in the Native American culture.  Gathering and hunting was a common way the Native Americans brought food to their tribes.  Many Indians traded furs for guns, food, clothing, and other things they needed.    The Indians could not have survived without using nature.
